Arizona Schutzhund Club formerly the Arizona Valley Schutzhund Club meet in the East Valley and serve working dogs and
their owners from all over the state. While we remain a small group
(about 14 members), we have members as far away as Show Low and Tucson.
Victoria Hall, who has been training and breeding Dobermans for almost 30
years is our director.
We are officially a member of the United Schutzhund Clubs of
America and abide by the trial
rules of our national organization. The sport of Schutzhund
originated as a breed test for the German Shepherd Dog and still is.
Our sport combines athleticism and mental strength for both you and
your dog. It is a great way to enjoy your dog and affords a
valuable opportunity to create a strong bond between you. A variety
of other breeds have joined the GSD in the sport and participate in our
Club; Dobermans, Malinois and American Bulldogs, just to name a few.
Josh Zapparolli, a USA regional class
helper consults with us and provides training seminars monthly in
both obedience and protection.
Chris Burns and Julia Franklin, certified by the UScA are our club helpers who work in
protection with us during our bi-weekly training sessions.
We welcome visitors and inquiries about our sport and our
Club.
